Services
TandC Associates, LLC provides consultation in the following areas:
-
Relationships –Consumers (and their care providers, when available), Providers, and Community Resources. We believe the foundation of a community-based mental health program such as the clubhouse is dependent on the acceptance by the community, the trust of the consumers and their care providers, and the board of directors of a free-standing program.
-
Development – Funding and Program Design. TCA will reach out to local organizations (Rotary International, Kiawana’s, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Churches, Professional Organizations – Lawyers, Social Workers, Psychiatrists, Psychologists) to present an overview and history of the growth of clubhouse development over the past 35+ years at scheduled meetings. We at TCA are prepared to present the overview of such community-based mental health services both formally and informally at other venues, such as Mental Health Associations (MHA’s), National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), Community Mental Health Centers (CMHC’s), Local Governments, Police Departments & Fire Departments, any other Funding Sources (public and private), Educational Institutions – High Schools, Universities, Vocational Schools, etc. Wherever possible, consumers must be considered crucial to the narrative and program agenda, presenting a first-hand point of view for these necessary support services. TCA will then follow-up with in-depth meetings with positive respondents (verbal and written on evaluations from providers and consumers). Once a tangible interest is evident, TCA will schedule meetings with Boards of Directors of existing programs, employers, foundation;
OR
facilitate creating a Board of Directors for an adjunct agency;
OR
facilitate establishment of Not-for-Profit agency, Board of Directors, etc.
-
Implementation –Program Operation. TCA offers professional in-service trainings on staff hiring, utilizing consumers as equal participants on the Hiring Committee. At this point, TCA is prepared to recommend other appropriate training base facilities for extensive staff, consumer, and board member orientation and training.
-
Reach-Out – On-going Staff and Consumer Recruitment, as well as Community Education. TCA can demonstrate effective methods of continual recruitment for talented staff, as well as ongoing referrals by treatment providers (social workers, doctors, in-patient units, etc.). Furthermore, crucial to the financial survival of the new program, systematic and ongoing presentations of the program must include consumer speakers to relevant sources of community support: Employers, Educators, Housing Resources, Foundations, and Primary/Psychiatric treatment providers, etc.
-
Evaluation – Annual Consumer Satisfaction Surveys, Provider Preparation for licenses and Certification, etc. Finally, as the clubhouse program is initiated, TCA provides ongoing consultation, conducting evaluation outcomes, based on consumers and providers: a) at initial presentation of overview and history; b) at in-depth meetings; and c) at program initiation and other periodic (annual) satisfaction surveys.
